After graduating from Glacier High I married and have two wonderful children, a daughter Dawn, 34 and a son Rick 31. I started my career with Safeway in 1969 as a meat cutter. During that time I was a manager for the meat dept in Seattle and Olympia stores for 30 of those years. In 1998 I moved to Chelan, where I continued with Safeway in the meat dept and then retired in 2005 after 36 years of service.

In 1993, I remarried; my wife Elaine and I have been married for 15 years. I have a step-son, Shawn, 33. We currently call Manson, WA our home. We share a lovely home on the hillside overlooking Lake Chelan. After retiring from Safeway, I became involved in building custom homes in the Lake Chelan Valley. We enjoy spending time with our three grandsons, Mark-8, Jacob-8, and Chase, 3. We also spend a great deal of time boating, street rodding in my 1932 Ford Hi Boy Roadster, and traveling the US. We look forward to spending our winters as "snowbirds" at our place in Lake Havasu, Arizona.

I have a BS in MIS and once worked for Boeing advanced systems on the B2 stealth project.  Giggles... imagine that?  I earned the Eagle award there and a pen with an Eagle on it.  My 15 minutes of fame....

I am semi-retired, still work 30 hours a week, build websites for friends, play EL (eternal lands rayna), in the process of designing an online game similar to El but in the future instead of the past.

Hmmm, what else? 

Well, I live in Idaho on a small 5-acre site now.  Very dry and hot here, but finally got away from the Seattle rain.

I have constructed 2 homes with my own hands, and had planned to build a 3rd one here, a strawbale house off the grid.  But now I think it will never happen, because Im too busy having fun to stop and do the WORK (that wind turbine is beyond my abilities, lol.  Its so tall!).  Oh well life is like that, right?

I still paint with water/oil; used to teach T-shirt painting classes way back when. It was great fun.  Now and then I get a whim and design a OOAK doll and sell them on Ebay(Dolls-Barbie-OOAK).  That's really special for me, I will live forever, as I have dolls all over the world now. 

I used to have an adopted Mustang gelding(big story there :-> ) and Arabian mare.  My big outdoor pets.  But they have both passed on.  I had her for 31 years.  Now I just have cats (im allergic to them duh jokes on me) and a dobie and kelpie.

Oh yes, and the outdoor critters are little owls that live in tunnels in the earth, mice, snakes, and baby faced crickets, and some nasty blue centipedes (they sting but dont kill).  Oh and a fox and badger sometimes, oh and rabbits and whistle petes ( don¿t ask me, lol, ground chipmunks).  And a beautiful red winged hawk.

I still do a little hiking now and then, but its difficult as I need a new knee. LOL that sounds so OLD.  Going up hill is great, but coming back down is treacherous.  And no, I haven¿t climbed a tree forever.  How sad¿

Never traveled out of the US except to Mexico and Canada.  Although I am thinking of moving to Panama when I retire ( I think I would enjoy the lifestyle there, im kind of laid back, but love strolling in gardens).

What do I look like?  A few months ago I had a choppy haircut, almost to my waist, colored a deep red-purple with a blond streak in the front. LOL  But now its only shoulder length and orange!  Giggles. 

 Oh my, Darrel and Sandie?  hey, grats to the two of you. You look so well and young.    You ever see Pamela Cole?

Sandie? Did you have the bug in school with the loose steering wheel?

Im so pleased with this site.  Ill have to rumage around and post some pics when I can.  Its so much fun to see all of you again past and NOW.

If you look at the senior picture and find Sue Pearson, (lower left side) she is wearing my dress, giggles, the same one in the before pic here.


I didnt even think about the 40th till this year.  I would loved to have gone.  Well maybe the 45th?

I didn't have a clue what I should be doing after highschool. I worked for an Advertising Agency in Seattle and  was transferred to San Francisco in 1974. Amazed by the year-around sunshine I stayed and continued my career in advertising for 20+ years. I am married to a terrific Canadian and have 2 boys (ages 16 & 21). Five years ago I started a small interior design company. Life is good.
